This is a forum to "spread the word" about restaurants and other eating places in and around Newton, NJ - Sussex County. The intention here is for regular people to comment on the food, menu selection, atmosphere, and other things that would make the dining experience good or bad. I will not make an attempt to talk about all restaurants in the area, but rather the ones I go to.
I eat out frequently around Newton, NJ, trying not to spend a great deal of money. I especially like to support non-chain, locally owned establishments but will eat at some chains. I am not connected with any restaurant. Although I have no professional food training, I have been watching cooking shows for at least 25 years. The Plaza Restaurant, just off the square in Newton on Spring Street, is opened again. The hours are from 7am until 9 or 10 pm... In other words it serves all three meals. I will get there soon to eat.
